TIme Will Tell You Otherwise

Time is good you see?
time infuses tea.

As flavour is to wait,
age is to fate.

Love blossoms in time,
as does the mind.

Time sees out pain,
for nothing stays the same.

Wisdom comes with age,
with each turn of the page.

Look back and take a peek,
memory is such a sneak.

Youth be the embodiment of life?
Time will tell you otherwise.

Alone With You

It’s nice
when we’re alone;
I never knew
time and space,
until you left,
and now, nothing
makes me happier
than to be
with you.

Close
in silence;
we are
one,
far from everything,
and just
for a moment,
we learn
to breathe.

And we remember,
how time
is always
a moment too late,
and we’re always
too far
from one another –
it’s nice
when we’re alone.

Old Man

Old man, old man
how did it get so bad
for you, for you
how did you get so blue?

So many days have past
since happier days.
What went wrong, old man
to bring you undone?

Old man, old man
I’ll give you a dollar –
for you, for you
I will give you two.

But what good will it do,
tomorrow I will see you
here again,
asking for another dollar or two.

Old man, old man
I wish there was more I could do,
but what use would it do
when hope hides from view.

No matter how bad things get
old man, I think of you
sitting out there, turning blue
asking for a dollar or two.
